NATIONAL PARENTS COUNCIL PRIMARY (NPC)

NPC is the only National representative organisation for parents of primary school children. NPC exists to support and empower all parents through our Helpline, Training and Website. NPC aims to make sure that parents’ voices are heard.

NPC SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS

Being part of a Special Interest Group allows parents explore the particular issues pertaining to their children and to exchange information and ideas to further benefit the education and wellbeing of their children.

PARENTS’ ASSOCIATIONS

A Parents’ Association is the structure through which parents in a school can work together for the best possible education for their children. The parent association works with the principal, staff and the board of management to build effective partnership between the home and school.

NPC TRAINING FOR PARENTS’ ASSOCIATIONS

The NPC Training and Development programme is a national programme of training, development and support for parents. The purpose is to empower parents to play an active part in their child’s education at every level.

NPC ACTIVITIES IN YOUR LOCAL AREA

NPC has County Branches around the country, the County Branch is a structure through which parents and parent associations in a county can come together and work together for the best possible education for their children. At county level NPC members exchange ideas about children’s education, share experiences and discuss educational issues of local and national importance.
