Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC)

A World Health Organization Collaborative Cross-National Study

The study aims to gain new insight into, and increase our understanding of young people's health and well-being, health behaviours and their social context.

2018 marks Ireland’s 20th year of the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study taking place across 48 countries and regions.

For the 6th time, the research team at NUI Galway, will ask children from 3rd class to 5th year about topics relevant to them, such health behaviours, bullying, quality of life, social media, and views on school, their community and their peers.

Findings from this study are invaluable for shaping public policy and decisions that will affect their lives.
