On your behalf (June 2018)

NPC has been working on your behalf making submissions, attending meetings, ensuring the voices of parents of primary school children are being heard

NPC made representation at the following:

  • The Children's Rights Alliance
  • The Early Learning Initiative's Early Years Conference recognising and supporting the constitutional role of parents as the primary educators of their children
  • The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA)
  • INTO/Early Childhood Ireland Joint Seminar - Transitions across early years education – from pre-school to primary
  • The Teaching Council
  • A NCCA/ESRI seminar on the Transition to Primary Education: Insights from the Growing up in Ireland Study
  • A meeting of the HSE Sexual Health Advisory Group
  • A Mental Health Information day for teachers and school staff in conjunction with the launch of DCU/St Patrick’s Mental Health Services joint report ‘Primary School Counselling Study: Demand and Provision of School Based Counselling in Ireland’

  • The launch of the Ombudsman for Children's Office Annual Report 2017
